A timing flag says that supplied punches met a defined screening condition. It does not, by itself, establish why the record looks that way or what legal significance it carries.
Move from broad to specific.
- Measure frequency across the available period.
- Compare concentration by employee, date, location, and department.
- Inspect repeat patterns and outliers at the shift level.
- Review the source punch sequence and available surrounding evidence.
Keep missing context explicit.
Document whether the dataset includes corrections, attestations, schedules, waivers, policy records, payroll outcomes, or evidence of employee choice. Treat absent context as a limitation, not an assumption.
